BLOOM // CARNATIONS

So I know I said I would disappear for a couple of months, but I think just one month was long enough for me to get settled into living in China. I'm excited to get back into blogging and creating new work.

So far I have completed two weeks of working as an English teacher in the city of Wuhan. I'm really enjoying helping the gorgeous kids learn a new language. This past week we had a national "Teacher's Day" celebration where the children bring their Teacher's gifts such flowers and chocolates (two of my favourite things!).The pictured carnations are just a few of the many flowers I was given.

I'm enjoying being creative again (one month is too long). I have already picked up some watercolour paints and happily spent the majority of my Saturday working on some wedding invitations for a beautiful friend.

My husband Louis and I also ventured to Melbourne, Australia on our way to China, and I look forward to sharing some of the images from our trip here soon.
