Rose Magazine
I have been busy as a bee working on my final project for my Bachelor of Visual Arts degree. I have created my own magazine! It combines many of the skills I have acquired in the last 4 years of art school, including illustration, photography, collage, creative writing, graphic design, typography and layout. It's based around fashion and style for young women during Spring/Summer 2012 and also features craft, baking and music reviews. It will soon be up on issuu.com so watch this space for when that is happening. I have also created a printed edition for my submission and installation.

My Image Bank
As a creative, it's so important to keep inspired by surrounding yourself with imagery that you love. I collect images from a range of sources to help with ideas, colour schemes, styles etc. It helps keep me motivated to keep making and experimenting with new techniques or approaches.

Bows & Braids
I've really wanted to push my illustration skills further, and so at the moment I'm focusing on drawing portraits that have braided hairstyles. Braids are very difficult to draw, but I am really enjoying the challenge! The only way to get better is by tackling the trickier things. This is the first braided hair drawing I have produced, and it took a bit of patience but I really loved working on it.

Pretty little old shed
I love when nature overtakes a man made structure like this. The shed resides in the corner of the stunning garden belonging to a house we currently call home. I took this picture after breakfast when I noticed how beautifully the morning sunlight was falling down on it. It's even prettier now the little white jasmine flowers have appeared.
Blossom
You know its springtime when the trees start to blossom. I love spring firstly because I love flowers and secondly because it reminds me that summer is on it's way!
